Summary

This item approves the plans and specifications for public improvements associated with the 9 N Butler Street project, also known as Contract No. 9713. The developer, Butler Plaza, LLC, will undertake these improvements. The project involves the construction of a new 11-story mixed-use building with 76 multifamily dwelling units, approximately 9,000 SF of commercial space, and 16 underground parking stalls. Public improvements include:

  • Recording a Certified Survey Map.
  • Dedication of right-of-way or granting a public sidewalk easement and constructing a minimum six-foot-wide sidewalk along E Washington Avenue and N Butler Street frontage.
  • Constructing sidewalk, terrace, curb, gutter, and pavement along E Washington Avenue and N Butler Street.
  • Providing street tree protection, removals, and plantings as approved by City Forestry. Three trees (two Ginkgo, one Honeylocust) will be removed.
  • Constructing private sanitary, storm, and water service laterals.
  • Protecting and coordinating relocations for existing public streetlights and fiber facilities.
  • Coordinating project access, street closures, and street occupancy with other projects.
