26-183 : Central Terminal Neighborhood Association - Missing Streetlights in Broadway-Fillmore

The Central Terminal Neighborhood Association (CTNA) has formally requested the comprehensive replacement of 19 missing street lights in the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood. These lights are missing due to poles falling or only bases remaining, indicating the aging infrastructure has exceeded its lifespan.

The CTNA has identified specific corridors needing replacement: Peckham Street (Fillmore Ave to Curtiss St), Fillmore Avenue (Paderewski Dr to William St), Curtiss Street (Memorial Dr to Central Terminal), and Memorial Drive.

While the Broadway Fillmore DRI project includes street light installation along Broadway, Fillmore Avenue, and Paderewski Drive, the CTNA requests coordination with these additional corridors. They also advocate for resident involvement in fixture selection and the use of dark-sky compliant, fully shielded fixtures to direct light downward.

This coordinated effort aims to significantly improve public safety and neighborhood aesthetics.
