The City Commission is considering approving the award of a contract to Chen Moore and Associates for professional design and construction management services related to the Historic Miramar Infrastructure Improvements (HMII) Phase V - Watermain Improvements Project. This project aims to address aging water distribution infrastructure in historic neighborhoods by replacing deteriorated water mains, improving fire hydrant coverage and fire flow protection, and installing a new sanitary force main. The total amount for these services is not-to-exceed $580,770. Funding for this project is available in the Utilities Department's FY 2025-2026 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Chen Moore and Associates was selected from five responding firms based on their qualifications and responsiveness.
