The City of Miramar is awarding Invitation for Bids No. 26-005 for the installation of check valves in water service lines to Plumber Mike’s Inc. in the amount of $264,500. This contract aims to enhance the performance, reliability, and backflow protection of the City's water distribution system.
The scope of work includes installing approximately 3,000 5/8-inch retrofit check valves, 50 large meter (1.5" & 2") installations, and 1,000 Smart Point (MXU) installations across the city. Plumber Mike’s Inc. was selected as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, benefiting from a County Business Enterprise (CBE) preference. The contract is for an initial one-year term, with options for up to three additional one-year renewals, and is funded through the Utilities Capital Improvements Project.
